Miasto spotkań / Meeting town

Kolejne miasteczko na trasie podróży z otwartym biletem autobusowym – Hoi An -położone jest u ujścia rzeki Thu Bon do morza południowo-chińskiego. Miasteczko to znajdziecie również na liście UNESCO. Ładne stare miasto, słynny na cały Wietnam most japoński (znajduje się on nawet na jednym z banknotów wietnamskich i jest on jedynym na świecie krytym mostem ze świątynią buddyjską), swobodny dostęp do rzeki i pięknych plaż, a także lokalne świeże piwo. Do tego ceny, jak na miejsce bardzo turystyczne, bardzo przystępne – udało się nam znaleźć dwu gwiazdkowy hotel (a dokładniej to hotel nas znalazł już na dworcu) z basenem za 4 $ za osobę 🙂 Nazwa Hoi An oznacza „miasto bezpiecznego lądowania” dla nas to także ( jak Wrocław) 🙂 miejsce spotkań. Wielki zbieg okoliczności i spotykamy poznanych w Halong Bay Ester i Seula. Od tego miejsca z małymi przerwami przemierzamy z nimi resztę Wietnamu.

The next town on the route of our open bus ticket – Hoi An is situated at the estuary of the Thu Bon River to the South China Sea. The town can also be found on the UNESCO list. Nice old town, famous for the whole Vietnam Japanese bridge (is even at the one of banknotes in Vietnam and it is the world’s only bridge with a Buddhist temple and roof) easy access to the river and the beautiful beaches and also fresh local beer. Also prices, as for the very touristic place, very reasonable – we were able to find a two-star hotel (actually a hotel found us already at the station) with a pool for 4 $ per person 🙂 Name Hoi An means „city of safe landing” for us also (like Wroclaw 🙂 means meeting place. Great coincidence and meet our friends known from Halong bay Esther and Seul. From this moment with short breaks we sightseeing with them the rest of Vietnam.

Pierwszym celem polsko-wietnamsko-francusko/wietnamskiej ekipy na skuterach są świątynie My Son (tu ciekawostka – duży wkład w rekonstrukcję świątyń miał Polak Kazimierz „Kazik” Kwiatkowski). Świątynie te nie są dziełem ani ludów khmerskich ani wietnamskich, a zbudowane zostały przez Czamów. Niestety ucierpiały one sporo podczas wojny z Amerykanami. Przy okazji zwiedzania ruin oglądamy tańce ludowe w wykonaniu urodziwych tancerek. Zobaczcie sami, film poniżej z dedykacją zarówno dla męskiej jak i żeńskiej części publiczności 🙂

The first goal of the Polish-Vietnamese-French / Vietnamese team on scooters are the temples of My Son (here interesting fact big contribution to the reconstruction of the temples had a Pole Kazimierz „Kazik” Kwiatkowski). These temples were not built by the Khmer nor Vietnamese people but by members of Cham culture. Unfortunately, the temples were hardly destroyed during American war. During visiting the ruins we are watching folk dances performed by good looking female dancers. Watch it by yourself, movie above dedicated both to male and female part of our audience 🙂

Kolejny cel skuter teamu i duże pozytywne zaskoczenie to Marmurowe Góry (Marble Mountains). Niezbyt zachwalane w przewodnikach i internecie miejsce okazało się wspaniałe. Góra, faktycznie marmurowa, położona nad brzegiem morza wysoka na ok. 100 metrów, skrywająca kilka urokliwych świątyń i co najważniejsze wspaniałe jaskinie. Jedna z nich Huyen Khong to jak dla mnie najładniejsza jaskinia jaką dotychczas widziałem. Ze szczytów (jest ich kilka) rozpościerają się widoki na morze, pobliskie miasto, rzekę i tereny równinne. Po ciekawie spędzonym czasie w doborowym towarzystwie jedziemy do Nha Trang.

Next target for scooter team and a large positive surprise is marble mountain. Not advertised so much in guidebooks and the Internet mountain turned out to be a wonderful place. Mountain, actually is out of marble, situated on the seafront with hight of approx. 100 meters hides several charming temples and most importantly a wonderful caves. One Huyen Khong is for me the most beautiful cave we’ve seen so far. From the peaks (there are several) we had beautiful views of the sea, the nearby town, the river and the flat terrains. After an enjoyable time spent in a very good company we are going to Nha Trang.
